Shy Talk Legacy Shop

Now in its third year, SHY FEST
has only gone from strength-to-strength. With a venue change to allow more scope for expansion and a later curfew, we are listening to YOU, the performers and the audience members, in how we shape and develop, not just as an event, but as a project that delivers to the creative grassroots community of Greater Manchester.
Very much co-designed from audience and participant feedback, SHY FEST III showcased a taste of what's to come in the future...

So what's happening next?
Very much continuing the all-important, and ever-relevent ethos of the man who inspired these events, a live and let live community atmosphere, rooted in a value system which supports diversity, neurodiversity, creative experimentation, and the nurturing and formation of creative partnerships in a true grassroots environment. As more than three years operating this project as a 'labour of love', I have now reached the point where I am unable to continue this amount of work in an unpaid capacity. The fate and future of the project now lies in the hands of organisations such as the Arts Council England believing in its importance and proven sustainability, in order to enable myself and all involved, to grow and evolve it further.

MASLOW STUDIOS
With funding in place, the next phase of the project will involve a focus on artist development, with their subsequent platforming at our live events. Mentoring events with experienced guest facilitators and myself will give opportunity for 1-2-1 coaching alongside the shared experitise of both the guest speaker and peers.
